Ingredients:
Green gram - 1 cup
Potato - 2
Tomato - 1
Garlic pods - 5
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
Sambar powder/curry powder - 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Sugar - 1 pinch
Oil - 2 tsp
Preparation Method:
1) In a pressure cooker boil the green gram and potatoes with salt and keep it aside.
2) In the same pressure cooker heat the oil and fry sliced onions and curry leaves till tender.
3) Then add the tomatoes till pulpy.
4) Now add the chopped boiled potatoes and boiled green gram, coriander leaves, garlic pods, sambar powder, salt to taste and a pinch of sugar.
5) Cover with lid and leave for one whistle.
6) Let the steam settle by itself and open the cooker.
7) Green gram curry is ready to serve with rice or chapattis.
